Mark is a dedicated and compassionate acupuncturist who graduated summa cum laude from the Jung Tao School of Classical Chinese Medicine near Boone, North Carolina. His passion lies in helping patients find greater balance and harmony by integrating the various healing principles and modalities of Traditional East Asian Medicine. In addition to acupuncture, this toolkit includes tui na (Chinese medical massage), qigong tui na (a subtle yet powerful technique used to create more space in the body), gua sha, and cupping. For patients who are afraid of needles, he can even utilize a traditional non-insertive needle called a teishin, to affect powerful changes in the body.

In his practice, Mark believes in fostering a partnership with his patients. If they’re willing, he often assigns simple, yet effective “homework” to extend the treatment benefits. This may include acupressure, self-massage, qigong exercises, and even dietary recommendations, all designed to enhance healing and speed up recovery.

In addition to his Master’s Diploma of Acupuncture, Mark also holds a Bachelor of Music degree (Theory/Composition) from the University of Tennessee. In his free time he enjoys singing, composing, and learning to play new musical instruments, even if horribly so. Mark is also a dedicated practitioner of qigong and taijiquan. He resides in Knoxville with his wife, Elizabeth, a veterinary dermatologist, and their seriously curious tabby cat, Byrdie.

Will is a licensed Acupuncturist in the state of Tennessee and a Doctor of Oriental Medicine in the state of New Mexico. He began his investigation into health and healing through the practice of meditation and yoga as a teenager. His first formal training was in Ayurveda, the traditional medical system of India. He became a massage therapist, and then a Doctor of Oriental Medicine. His interest in Life Sciences inspired him to study and incorporate Functional Medicine into his clinic practice. He has been supporting the health of patients for more than 30 years.
